Mr. Scorpio offers expertise in conceptual estimating, value analysis, systems and unit cost estimating, preconstruction planning, logistics, and scheduling. He ensures decisions and commitments made in the preconstruction (budget & planning) phase of the process are brought to fruition during construction of the project. His integrity and open, honest communication ensures the successful delivery of projects.

Don Kellogg

Senior Project Manager

Mr. Kellogg’s 12 years of Construction Management experience has allowed him to participate in a large quantity and wide variety of projects. Of which, six are at various stages of the LEED Certification process.     He is responsible for managing projects during each phase from preconstruction through warranty, while ensuring that communication between all partners is maintained. He is detailed, driven, and will ensure the construction process is completed successfully.

Rick Buxton

Field Operations

Mr. Buxton is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activity. This includes communicating with trade contractors on a daily basis to ensure quality construction, and schedule adherence. He is also responsible for maintaining jobsite safety, and directing site logistics, inclusive of staging and sequence of work. He works closely with Clients, Design and Engineering Professionals, and the Management Team, fully engaging the project during preconstruction, and ensures the established plan is implemented and followed through in the construction phase. He is a seasoned veteran of the industry and has experience in all types of new construction, renovations, and expansion projects. He is well respected by the local trade contractor community as being an excellent communicator that is fair, mindful and direct in ensuring client expectations are exceeding in all aspects of project delivery.


Aaron Rogers

Senior Superintendent

Mr. Rogers’ has 17 years of experience overseeing on-site construction activities.  This includes site logistics, safety, schedule, and quality control.  His years of experience and attention to detail ensure the projects he delivers are on-time, on schedule and of the highest quality–including the delivery of 2 LEED Gold projects.  He is your primary point of contact on-site and will work closely with the client, design team, and management team.  With experience in many different types of construction in the area, he has developed strong relationships with the local trade community and is well respected as a team leader.

Courtney McCallister


Mrs. McCallister brings a well organized and thorough approach to administrative objectives. She ensures all project stakeholders, from the client to the employees in the field, have the information needed throughout the process; from project inception, preconstruction activity, construction, post occupancy and close out. These responsibilities include document management and distribution, the procurement and processing of submittals and RFIs, management of meeting minutes, construction progress documentation and report preparation. Her communication skills and “get it done” attitude are invaluable to this process.

Kurt Schuman

Senior Estimator

Mr. Schuman’s primary responsibility is to project and control construction costs during preconstruction by performing detailed quantity takeoffs, applying unit costs that are updated regularly in our estimating database, generating marketplace feedback, and relying on his expertise in estimating that has been acquired over his many years in the construction industry. Kurt’s understanding of the means and methods in which a building comes together ensures accuracy in his work product. He has extensive experience with new construction, expansions, and renovations and offers a well established network of subcontractors and suppliers throughout the southeastern United States. Mr. Schuman’s ability to foresee and communicate design challenges with architects and consulting engineers throughout the preconstruction phase of a project ensures solutions are incorporated in the design and bidding documents, significantly reducing potential change order activity during construction.

Jessica MacLaren


Mrs. MacLaren is an extremely detail oriented and cost conscious accounting professional. She manages the finances of the company for accurate and timely reporting of job cost, client, trade contractor and vendor requisition management, manages lien waivers and notice to owners, and trade contractor insurance verification. She is also responsible for the accounting and administration of Owner Direct Purchase (ODP) Programs for tax exempt clients

Mrs. Scorpio is responsible for promoting and branding D. E. Scorpio Corporation. She graphically presents responses to RFQs, proposals, and presentations, and oversees the marketing staff in its production efforts. She also coordinates and maintains the company’s website and other aspects of social media.
